Brunching Around Boston

August 15, 2018

The weekend has always been everyone’s favorite part of the week, but recently a certain weekend tradition has become mandatory for many—brunch! On any given Saturday or Sunday morning, Boston is bustling with diners emerging from their homes to feast on hybrid breakfast/lunch fare and to sip on mimosas & bloody marys.

One of the ways restaurants are keeping up with the growing brunch demand is with themed brunches! City Table, located in the heart of Back Bay, is hosting a Sex and the City brunch on September 30th to celebrate 20 years since the show’s premiere. Held in the beautifully ornate Dome Room of the Lenox hotel, you’ll experience the chicness of Manhattan with a breathtaking terrace and bouquet arrangements. The film and soundtrack will play in the background, and there will be gift bags, giveaways, Sex and the City trivia, and other themed games to spruce up the afternoon and pay homage to the iconic franchise.

But now for the important part… let’s talk food & booze!

It wouldn’t be brunch without mimosas; guests will enjoy an open La Marca prosecco bar, as well as an a la carte cocktail menu. If you have a savory palate, you will enjoy a made-to-order omelet station with farm fresh eggs, your favorite veggies, and assorted meats and cheeses. Sweet tooths should head to the Belgian waffle bar and pile on toppings such as fresh berries and cream, candies, and Vermont maple syrup. There will also be a custom donut wall from Union Square Donuts, and a build-your-own parfait station!

Although not required, this is a great excuse to wear heels & a dress to brunch. Reserve your tickets here before they sell out!

There are so many options for brunch in Boston, and it’s hard to try them all! Gather, located in the Seaport, is offering a solution to all of your brunch problems— their 4th Annual Brunch Battle on Saturday, October 6th! Some of the best brunch spots in Boston, including Lulu’s, Brownstone, Southern Proper and Row 34, will duke it out to win your vote for the title of ‘Best Brunch.’ The restaurants will all prepare samples of some of their signature brunch dishes for attendees to enjoy and vote for their favorite! This is a brunch extravaganza that you won’t want to miss.
