It's Fun to Eat The Y.M.C.A (Cobb Salad)...At The Green Briar!
July 13, 2013
It's nice to take a break and treat yourself to lunch, it's even better when you can give back while doing so! The Green Briar has just launched their new Summer menu and you will notice something different about one of your old favorites. The Cobb Salad has now been named the YMCA Cobb Salad! It is made the same way, with all the same delicious components like, grilled chicken, mixed greens, avocado, bacon, hard cooked egg, crumbled bleu cheese, tomato & lemon basil vinaigrette, only now proceeds from the sales of this salad will be donated to programs at The Oak Square YMCA!
Serving Allston, Brighton, Watertown, Brookline, and surrounding neighborhoods, the Oak Square YMCA has strengthened its communities through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility for over 70 years. Committed to offering programs and services to people of all ages and abilities, the new 37,000 square foot facility rebuilt in 2001 is fully handicap accessible and features a 6 lane 25 yard lap pool, a therapy pool, a gymnasium with climbing wall, a strength and fitness center, and a staff that is passionate about improving health and well-being.
Through the sales of the YMCA Cobb Salad, The Green Briar can help The Y continue to fund all their great programs for adults and children! Much like the YMCA, The Green Briar has been a Brighton Center staple for many years and it's great to work together as a community and give back!
Stop in the Briar and try this delicious salad and help out the Oak Square Y!
Chef Mike also added a few brand new menu items, like the Irish Cordon Bleu Sandwich, (fried chicken breast, rashers, Guinness dijonnaise, cheddar & Swiss cheese on grilled ciabatta)
